Subway
Madrid possesses a modern
and efficient underground system and it is the fastest way of getting around
the city. Trains run daily from 6:00am to 1:30am, you can either buy a
ticket for a single journey or if you intend to use the underground several
times a reduced rate 10 trip tickets are available as combined bus/underground
card.

Bus
The bus system covers the
entire city and outlying areas. The buses run from 6am to midnight. Reduced
tickets for ten rides are available at local new stands, tobacconists/
and booths at all major bus stops.

By Plane
Daily flights connect Madrid/s
Barajas airport with the leading cities of Europe and the rest of the world.
Daily flights are also available to all other major Spanish cities, a regular
shuttle service operates between Madrid and Barcelona from 7am to 11pm
daily.
Madrid/s Barajas airport
is located 13 Km from the city centre and is linked to the city by a regular
bus service to the underground Plaza de Colon bus terminal and the Metro.

Chamartin Station: Located
in the northern part of the city in the street Agustin de Foxa. Chamartin
connects Madrid with France, northern Spanish cities. Barcelona and the
Mediterranean coastal resorts

Puerta de Atocha Station:
Located in the southern part of the city, Atocha serves the regions of
Andalusia and Extremadura as well as Portugal. This is the arrival and
departure point of the high speed train called AVE which covers the distance
berween Madrid and Seville in two and a half hours stopping at the cities
of Cordoba, Ciudad Real and Puertollano on the way.
