well as the large open green spaces of the Montjuic and the Tibidabo, Barcelona
offers a wide selection of parks and gardens, some of the famous ones are:
Güell
Park: This park, designed by Gaudi, has been made a world heritage
site. Some of its most interesting features are the park entrance and the
stairway leading up to the so called Hall of the Hundred Columns.
Park
of the Labyrinth: This park was designed in 1791 and contains multi-level
stairways, temples and richly decorated balustrades for you to explore.
Ciutadella
Park: This English Romantic style park was inaugurated in 1888, the
park offers you beautiful tree-lined walks, a large waterfall and pond.
Guinardó
Park: This park is renowned for its abundance of trees and is hill-like
rises marking out the four points of a compass.
